Balancing Indoor and Outdoor Time
As much as kids and parents may buck the schedule, there’s no doubt that establishing some structure during your week, can ease everyone’s anxiety and give you things to look forward to. One thing that’s important to put on the calendar is outside time.
Recently I found myself looking my office window and thinking how nice it looked outside. I even shared how beautiful it was while getting a haircut. If you’re anything like me, you may find yourself talking about being active, instead of actually being active. My encouragement to myself (and you) this week is to schedule some outdoor time. You likely want your kids to be active, but it’s important to lead by example, in this area.
Take some time this weekend to sit down as a family and plan some spring and summer activities that you’d like to do together. Then, put them on the calendar and look forward to the memories that you’ll make with one another.
